Our Story

Bellevue meets the tropical charm of Mexico.

Tulum is family and veteran-owned. Most of the recipes on our menu are generational, passed down through the family and made from scratch in-house — a fusion of chain-restaurant polish and mom-and-pop soul, with a Los Angeles, West Coast flair.

"The food is very regional from Jalisco, but the Tulum name — we wanted to gear it towards an aspect that when you walk in here, you feel like you're somewhere tropical." Ritchie Arana, Owner

What to order

You can't go wrong with the birria tacos — they originated in Jalisco, and they're the dish Ritchie's mother is famous for. Everything else on the table is fair game.

"Cleanliness seems a priority as it should be, & they nailed it. The bowl was exactly what my wife wanted without asking for any substitutions, paired with a spicy watermelon margarita. I had the burrito with chorizo — excellent flavor without too much heat. Chips with salsa, guacamole & queso, you gotta love. And the churro? Mmmmmm."

"We ordered the birria tacos and oh my gosh — literally the best tacos I've had in my entire life. I could've eaten 20 of them. The seasoning on the shell was delicious, the meat was good, and the sauce you get to dip it in was amazing. We sat outside and it was super cute — can't wait to go back!"

Cincinnati DJ Battles 2026

Ritchie's been an aspiring DJ in the industry for over ten years — long before Tulum's kitchen ever opened. He built Cincinnati DJ Battles from the ground up as something for the community: real turntablists from around the country going head-to-head, right here on the patio.

$2,0001st place
$1,0002nd place
$5003rd place

Come check them out. Battles run every Sunday, 4–8 PM, right through the season — pull up a seat on the patio, grab a margarita, and watch DJs battle it out live. One winner advances from each week straight to the finals.

  • 10-minute routine, 3 completely different genres — no sub-genres.
  • One restart allowed for technical issues — but only in the first 2 minutes of your set.
  • A curveball song drops every Monday morning — how creatively you work it in gets judged too. Original version only, no remixes.
  • Judged on mixing ability, party-rocking ability, curveball usage, technicality and crowd involvement.

1099 required of all winning participants. Sponsored by Jake Sweeney's ShamRocker.
